Marion Bradley Earl

Marion Bradley Earl was born September 13, 1897, in the Mormon pioneer settlement of Bunkerville, Nevada. He relocated to Las Vegas in 1923 and built his career as an attorney, becoming one of the early figures of the legal profession in the growing desert community.

Beyond his law practice, Earl was deeply engaged in the civic life of early Las Vegas. He served on the board of directors of the Chamber of Commerce and rose to become its president, and he served as president of the Las Vegas Rotary Club during 1934 - 1935, a period in which the club kept pace with the rapidly growing city.

In February 1946, Earl joined with his younger brother, Rulon Earl, to establish a law firm, and the two practiced together in the Las Vegas Valley until Marion's death on February 24, 1988. The Earl brothers were remembered for setting a standard of integrity in the local legal community. As Senior U.S. District Judge Lloyd George recalled of the pair, "Everybody knew that Rulon and Marion could be trusted. Their word was their bond."
