Mark Alan Solomon

Mark Alan Solomon was born on August 30, 1950, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and was raised largely in San Jose, California. He graduated magna cum laude from the Santa Clara University School of Law in 1975 and was admitted to the California State Bar that same year. He then relocated to Las Vegas to serve as a law clerk to the Honorable J. Charles Thompson, District Judge of the Eighth Judicial District Court of Clark County, Nevada.

After being admitted to the State Bar of Nevada in September 1976, Mark joined the law firm of Lionel Sawyer & Collins, where he became a partner in 1981 and headed the firm's trust and estate section. In 2005, he opened his own firm, now known as Solomon Dwiggins Freer & Steadman, Ltd., which continues to practice primarily in trust and estate litigation, estate planning, trust administration, and guardianships.

Mark was a long-standing member of the trust and estate sections of the State Bar of Nevada and the American Bar Association. He served as Chairman of the Legislative Committee for the Probate and Trust Section of the State Bar of Nevada, proposing and securing the passage of numerous amendments to the Nevada Revised Statutes concerning wills, trusts, estates, and guardianships. He also served as Co-Chair of the section's Rules Committee and contributed to amendments of the Eighth Judicial District Court Rules of Practice. He passed away on April 18, 2021, at the age of 70.
