Michael J. Deasy

Michael J. Deasy was born on May 8, 1941, in San Francisco, California, and grew up in Corte Madera. He served in the United States Navy from 1962 to 1967, completed his undergraduate studies at the University of San Francisco, and earned his Juris Doctorate from Golden Gate College of Law.

Mr. Deasy found his passion for the law in Nevada. He worked for the Washoe tribe in Duckwater, Nevada, litigating on their behalf, and made his home in Sparks during those years. His dedication to advocacy in the state defined the early chapters of his legal career.

After leaving Nevada in 1979, Mr. Deasy continued his professional work with Wisconsin Judicare, Wausau Insurance, Liberty Mutual, and Nationwide, before retiring fully in 2007. He passed away on April 30, 2018, at the age of 76. He is remembered for his commitment to the clients and communities he served.
