Michael K. Wall

Michael Keith Wall was a respected Nevada appellate attorney whose legal career spanned both the bench-adjacent work of the state's highest court and private practice. Born April 7, 1958, in Salt Lake City, Utah, he earned his undergraduate degree in English literature from the University of Utah before graduating from the University of Utah Law School in 1984.

Michael's legal career took him to Nevada, first to Carson City, where he served as the supervising staff attorney of the Supreme Court of Nevada. He later moved to Las Vegas, joining the law firm of Hutchison & Steffen, where he built a distinguished appellate and business law practice. He argued on numerous occasions before the Nevada Supreme Court and the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and particularly enjoyed returning to the Supreme Court - this time as an advocate for his clients. He was recognized as a Super Lawyer for the years 2013 through 2020.

Michael passed away on July 20, 2021, in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the age of 63, from complications of COVID-19. He is remembered as a highly regarded advocate and a devoted family man whose intellect and love of literature marked both his professional and personal life.
