Monte J. Morris

Monte J. Morris was born on July 31, 1934, in Payson, Utah, and graduated from Payson High School in 1952. He went on to attend Brigham Young University and later completed his legal education at the University of Utah College of Law. Admitted to the State Bar of Nevada on November 12, 1965, he built a legal career that spanned more than half a century.

Mr. Morris was a highly skilled attorney, licensed to practice law in both Utah and Nevada. Over the course of his career he served as a Clark County Deputy District Attorney and as City Attorney for both Henderson and Boulder City, in addition to maintaining a long-time private practice. Colleagues and clients alike were drawn to his quick wit and warmth, and he was known for leaving people better for having known him.

Monte J. Morris passed away on July 19, 2021, in Henderson, Nevada, at the age of 86. He is remembered for his dedication to his profession, his community, and his family.
