Moorea L. Katz

Moorea Lynn Katz was a Nevada attorney whose career centered on complex commercial litigation. A product of the Las Vegas legal community, she earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2005 and went on to the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV, where she was awarded her Juris Doctor summa cum laude in 2010. She was admitted to practice before all Nevada state courts that same year, and was also admitted to practice before the courts of New York.

From the Henderson, Nevada offices of H1 Law Group (now Hone Law), Ms. Katz focused her practice primarily on complex commercial litigation, representing individual and business clients throughout Clark County and other parts of the state. Over the course of her career she handled a wide range of matters, including shareholder and partner disputes, products liability, intellectual property infringement, banking, fraud, civil rights, bankruptcy and creditors' rights, insolvency and restructuring, entertainment and sports law, and construction disputes. Earlier in her career she practiced litigation with Greenberg Traurig, LLP in Las Vegas.

Remembered by her colleagues as a brilliant lawyer as well as a friend, partner, and mentor, Ms. Katz died on August 1, 2021 at the age of 39, following a courageous fight with cancer. Her firm dedicated an In Memoriam tribute to her contributions to the firm and to the wider legal community.
