Morey Raiskin

Morey Raiskin was born August 3, 1957, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and earned his undergraduate degree and law degree from Tulane University and Tulane Law School. He began his legal career practicing law in Las Vegas, Nevada, before relocating to Orlando, Florida, in 1984. Over a career spanning more than 40 years, he devoted his practice to labor and employment law.

In Orlando, Mr. Raiskin served as in-house counsel at Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, where he was lead labor and employment counsel and administrative vice president of Sea World, then a subsidiary of the company. He later returned to private practice, holding positions that included shareholder at Zimmerman Kiser & Sutcliffe and partner at Burr & Forman. He spent the majority of his career at the firm of Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor & Reed, where he served as a shareholder and led the Labor & Employment Law Group for more than 20 years.

Known for both his legal acumen and his calm demeanor, Mr. Raiskin was regarded by colleagues as a trusted advisor and mentor who combined expertise with empathy. He retired from Lowndes in August 2022 and passed away on July 4, 2023.
