Nicholas F. Frey

Nicholas Floyd Frey was born on April 12, 1949, in Twin Falls, Idaho, the first son of Barbra Hine and Floyd Frey. He graduated from Brigham Young University, where he met his wife, Julie Ann Cunningham, and went on to earn his law degree from the University of Utah Law School.

Mr. Frey moved to Reno in 1979 and practiced law in northern Nevada for the remainder of his career, most recently as a partner with the firm of Woodburn and Wedge. He was admitted to the Nevada bar in 1980 and was remembered by colleagues as an excellent attorney and a good friend.

Beyond his legal practice, Mr. Frey was a devoted member of the Sparks, Nevada community and worked to unite the efforts of good people in service to others. He gave his time to Inter-Faith Hospitality, the Reno Gazette Faith Forum, and Family Promise, and served as a Public Affairs representative for his church. He was also an admired Rotarian. He passed away on July 5, 2013, at Renown Medical Center in Reno, surrounded by his family.
