Norman H. Kirshman - 1930-11-17 to 2015-05-09
Norman Harold Kirshman was a longtime Las Vegas attorney whose legal career spanned more than half a century. Born November 17, 1930, in Brooklyn, New York, to Max and Sadie Kirshman, he earned his undergraduate degree from Columbia University in 1955 and his law degree from Cornell University in 1958. Early in his career he served as a Judge Advocate General (JAG) officer in the U.S. Army, attaining the rank of captain and serving in that capacity for four years.
Mr. Kirshman built his practice in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he was admitted to the State Bar of Nevada on October 6, 1986. He concentrated his work in labor and employment law, civil litigation, and business law, and practiced as a principal of the firm Kirshman, Harris & Cooper, A Professional Corporation.
Beyond his legal work, Mr. Kirshman was a dedicated advocate for children. In his later years he devoted his time to volunteering with the Children's Attorney Project, CASA, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. He passed away on May 9, 2015.
