Paul Clifford Giese

Paul Clifford Giese Jr. was a Nevada attorney whose legal career spanned more than three decades in the state. Born June 21, 1945, he studied at the University of Wisconsin, Stevens Point, before earning his Juris Doctor from McGeorge School of Law. He was admitted to the Nevada bar and began a private law practice in Reno, Nevada.

Over the course of his career, Paul went on to work for the State of Nevada's Public Defender's Office, where he rose to become chief trial deputy. He held that position until his retirement in December 2008. He continued to practice law in Nevada both before and after receiving a heart transplant in 1999, a testament to his dedication to his profession.

After retiring, Paul relocated to Colorado, where he lived until his death on March 26, 2015. He is remembered for his long service to the people of Nevada through his work as a trial attorney and public defender.
