Paul E. Raby

Paul Edgar Raby Jr., known to friends and colleagues as Ed, was a longtime Las Vegas attorney who died September 19, 2017, at the age of 68. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he earned both his undergraduate and law degrees, he went on to serve his country in the United States Air Force's JAG Corps.

In practice, Mr. Raby was a partner in the Greenman, Goldberg, Raby and Martinez Law Firm in Las Vegas, where he concentrated on personal injury law. He was remembered by peers as a knowledgeable and well-prepared advocate who advanced his clients' interests with skill while maintaining fairness, courtesy, and candor toward opposing counsel and the court - qualities that colleagues described as the mark of an ideal attorney.

Beyond the practice of law, Mr. Raby was known as a kind and generous man who cherished family and friends, good food and drink, Tar Heel sports, and fast cars, competing in SCCA-sanctioned races. He is remembered as a respected member of the Las Vegas legal community.
