Paul Howard Schofield - 1939-06-22 to 2020-05-13
Paul Howard Schofield was a longtime member of the Nevada legal community whose career in Clark County spanned more than four decades. Born June 22, 1939, in South Gate, California, he attended Artesia High School and Eastern New Mexico University before serving in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper and medic with the 82nd Airborne. He later earned his Juris Doctorate from Baylor University. Before entering private practice, he served as Associate Dean of Students at UNLV, where he was instrumental in establishing the university's Greek system.
Admitted to the State Bar of Nevada in 1971, Mr. Schofield built a distinguished career in Southern Nevada. He served as North Las Vegas City Attorney and went on to co-found the law firm of Nitz, Schofield & Nitz alongside Owen and Jack Nitz. He subsequently established his own practice, Schofield Law, through which he served clients across Clark County.
Mr. Schofield practiced law in Clark County for over 40 years until his retirement in 2014. He passed away on May 13, 2020, remembered for a decades-long dedication to his profession and to the Southern Nevada community he served throughout his career.
