Peter C. Simeoni

Peter Christopher Simeoni was born on February 20, 1961, in Eugene, Oregon, and spent his early childhood moving across the country before settling in Sparks, Nevada, in 1975. He graduated from Sparks High School in 1979, where he was a standout member of the varsity basketball team and earned Northern Nevada Player of the Year honors for the 1978-79 season. He went on to pursue a degree in English at the University of Nevada, Reno.

Before entering the legal profession, Pete taught English at Sparks High School, where he also coached the boys' varsity basketball team for many years, and later taught English at Galena High School. He attended Gonzaga Law School from 1995 to 1998 and was admitted to the State Bar of Nevada on October 12, 1999.

Mr. Simeoni devoted his legal career to public service, working as an attorney at the Washoe County District Attorney's Office, where he was employed at the time of his passing on July 6, 2014. He was remembered for his laugh, generosity, loyalty, and his never-ending determination to work hard and to be the best man, husband, and father he could be.
