Richard I Dreitzer

Richard Ian Dreitzer was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, the oldest son of Marty and Arlene Dreitzer. He graduated from Canarsie High School at 17 and went on to attend Cornell University's School of Industrial and Labor Relations, graduating with honors. He earned his Juris Doctor from Washington University in St. Louis in 1994, and built his legal career in Nevada as a commercial litigator and labor and employment specialist.

Richard was the managing partner of Fennemore's Las Vegas office, where he was widely respected for his professionalism and commitment. Over more than two decades he gave extensive volunteer service to the State Bar of Nevada, serving on numerous boards and committees beginning in 2001. He was elected to the Board of Governors and served from 2013 through 2025, ultimately leading the profession as President of the State Bar of Nevada and, at the time of his passing, its Immediate Past President.

His steady leadership, dedication, and generosity of time and talent left a lasting impact on Nevada's legal community. Richard Dreitzer passed away on September 15, 2025, at the age of 56, and is remembered for the many contributions he made to the bar and the broader profession he served throughout his career.
