Robert Dennis Caruso

Robert Dennis Caruso was born on August 9, 1943, in Brooklyn, New York. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Master of Psychology from California State University, Northridge, and spent many years working with the Los Angeles Unified School District and Catholic schools as a teacher and school psychologist before entering the law.

In 1984, Mr. Caruso graduated with honors from Southwestern School of Law. He and his wife, Nancy, moved to Las Vegas, where he devoted much of his legal career to the practice of criminal law with the Clark County Public Defender's Office, serving the community there for many years.

Beyond the courtroom, Mr. Caruso was a lifelong learner - an avid reader, researcher, and occasional writer whose interests ranged widely across brain science, physics, evolution, genetics, Greek and Roman civilizations, American history, and the Constitution. He passed away on August 16, 2018.
