Roland W. Belanger

Roland Wilfrid "Doc" Belanger, Sr. was born on October 3, 1925, in Eureka, Nevada, and devoted his professional life to the practice of law in his home state. He attended law school at Georgetown University Law School in Washington, D.C., graduating with a Juris Doctorate degree in 1954.

Mr. Belanger served for 20 years as the Pershing County District Attorney, and during that time he was elected President of the Nevada State District Attorney's Association. Following his years as District Attorney, he spent many years in private practice, working alongside partners including the Honorable Richard Wagner, Sixth Judicial District Judge, and Todd A. Plimpton, Esq., who was his partner at the time of his death.

A dedicated attorney to the end, Mr. Belanger continued to practice law until his final days, having just completed the negotiation of a contract with Pershing County on behalf of St. John's Catholic Church. He passed away on April 9, 2011.
