Samuel A. Kitterman Jr.

Samuel Aaron "Sam" Kitterman Jr. was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. An Eagle Scout, he graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and went on to earn his law degree from the University of Tulsa College of Law in Oklahoma.

After completing his service with the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General's (JAG) Corps, Sam returned to Las Vegas to practice law. Colleagues remembered him as a consummate professional and a gentleman, and his work included time with the in-house counsel's office at Farmers Insurance. He was regarded within the profession as a true professional whose reputation preceded him.

Beyond the practice of law, Sam had wide-ranging interests. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Munich, Germany, had a deep command of the scriptures, and served as a high priest counselor in the Stone Gate Ward. He had a passion for cycling and was dedicated to raising funds and awareness for diabetes through the Tour de Cure. Sam passed away on May 9, 2013.
