Thomas J. Moore

Thomas Joseph Moore, a longtime Las Vegas attorney, built a legal career that spanned some 45 years. After completing his first two years of college, he enlisted in the military, and upon his return he finished his education by earning his doctorate in law. His path into the profession followed his service, and he went on to become a fixture of the Nevada legal community.

Over the course of his practice, Mr. Moore represented public institutions across Clark County, including the Clark County School District, the Police Department, and the Fire Department. In private practice he devoted himself to advocacy for employee rights, work that reflected a lasting commitment to standing up for the people he represented.

Before the law, Mr. Moore served during the Vietnam War as a rescue and assault helicopter pilot, an experience for which he was honored with numerous medals for bravery and the Cross of Gallantry with palm. He remained a proud member of the Disabled American Veterans. Mr. Moore died on June 20, 2020, at the age of 72.
