Steve Terry Skivington

Steve Terry Skivington grew up in Elko, Nevada, one of four brothers born to George and Volga Skivington. He went on to attend Arizona State University, where he served as president of his business fraternity and earned a business degree in 1977. He continued his studies at the same institution, earning his law degree in 1980, with civil procedure remaining a favorite subject from his legal education.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Skivington built a practice as a trial attorney and maintained active membership in the State Bar of Nevada and the State Bar of Arizona. He was also a participant in the Trial Lawyers Association, remaining engaged in the professional legal community across both states in which he was admitted to practice.

Beyond his legal work, Mr. Skivington was known for a wide range of interests, including gardening, homebrewing - for which he once earned first place at the Arizona State Fair - camping, deep sea fishing, and travel in Europe. A dedicated sports enthusiast with a particular passion for college football, he faced serious illness with resilience, surviving cancer and battling scleroderma and pulmonary hypertension. He is survived by his wife, Inna, and their two daughters, Annie and Isabelle.
