Steven Wolfe Thompson

Steven Wolfe Thompson was a Las Vegas attorney whose legal career spanned 36 years. He earned his undergraduate and master's degrees from the University of Wisconsin - Madison and received his J.D. from the University of Puget Sound Law School in 1983. He began his practice in Tacoma, Washington, where he practiced corporate, intellectual property, and real estate law for 15 years before relocating to Las Vegas in 1998.

In Nevada, Steven built a solo law practice that he maintained until his diagnosis with Primary Progressive Aphasia in early 2021. Colleagues and clients knew him for his dedication to civil litigation, intellectual property, and real property law throughout his years of practice in the state.

Beyond the law, Steven was a nationally ranked bridge player who won a national championship in 2010 with his longtime bridge partner and colleague, Portland attorney Marc Zwerling. He also had a rich musical and broadcast life, having worked as a radio DJ and sung with the Seattle Symphony Chorale and the Seattle Opera Chorus. He passed away on January 1, 2023, at the age of 67.
