Susan A. Winters

Susan Arlene Winters was born on March 14, 1966, in Altus, Oklahoma, to Danny and Avis Winters. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with the Class of 1990, earning her law degree there, and began her legal career practicing law in Oklahoma City.

In 1991, Susan moved to Las Vegas, where she passed the Nevada bar examination and was admitted to practice. She joined the Clark County District Attorney's office, serving as a prosecutor before leaving to enter private practice. Licensed to practice in two states, she built a career in the courts of Southern Nevada spanning more than two decades.

Susan also served on the bench as a part-time judge. Remembered as a devoted mother and wife as well as a respected attorney, she passed away on January 3, 2015, at the age of 48, in Henderson, Nevada.
