Thomas H. Harris

Thomas H. Harris was a longtime member of the Nevada legal community whose career was devoted almost entirely to service within the state's judiciary. Raised in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, he earned a bachelor's degree in philosophy and international business management from King's College in 1990, a master's degree in philosophy from the University of Wyoming in 1992, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Utah in 1999. He was admitted to the State Bar of Nevada in 2000.

Over a tenure of nearly two decades with the Nevada Supreme Court, Tom advanced through a succession of increasingly senior roles. He began as a Supervisory Staff Attorney and later served as Settlement Program Administrator. His final positions included Chief of Staff and Chief Assistant Clerk of the Court of Appeals, reflecting the trust and responsibility placed in him across the appellate courts he served.

Remembered by colleagues in both the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeals, Tom left a lasting mark on the institutions to which he dedicated his professional life. He passed away in Las Vegas, Nevada, on February 21, 2019.
