Tod Richard Dubow - 1964-07-27 to 2024-03-10
Tod Richard Dubow was born in Boston, Massachusetts, on July 27, 1964, and graduated from Brookline High School in 1982. He earned a B.A. in English from the University of California and a J.D. from Pepperdine University, laying the foundation for a legal career that would span two states.
Tod practiced as an attorney first in Los Angeles, California, and later in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he was considered by his colleagues to be one of the preeminent legal minds in the state. Known affectionately as "the Unicorn" for his singular ability to take on the most complex legal cases and handle them with ease, he built a reputation for brilliance and a distinctive wit.
Throughout his career, Tod served as a mentor and friend to many younger attorneys, staying in touch with them as they pursued their own paths. Beyond the law, he was an accomplished chess player - rated a life expert by the United States Chess Federation - as well as a talented tennis player, guitarist, and singer-songwriter. He passed away on March 10, 2024.
