Warren D. Rush - 1934-11-28 to 2015-08-24

Warren Deason "Pete" Rush built a distinguished and far-reaching legal career. He was a member of the American Bar Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association and the Lafayette Bar Association, and he was admitted to practice in all Louisiana state courts as well as the United States District Courts for the Western, Eastern and Middle Districts of Louisiana, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. His practice reached beyond his home state, and he was admitted to the State Bar of Nevada in 1990.

A family man in his profession as well as his personal life, he took great pride in practicing law alongside four of his children at the firm of Rush, Rush and Calogero. The father and son team served clients throughout the country over a career spanning decades.

Beyond the courtroom, Warren Rush was an accomplished real estate developer. Among the projects he built were the Lafayette Hilton and Tower, the Pinhook Office Building, Pinhook Towers, Square 224 and the Superior Building, along with several buildings in Houston. Remembered by peers and community members as an icon and a generous humanitarian, he leaves a legacy carried forward by the children who continued in his profession.
