William C. Sanford Jr.

William Clarke Sanford Jr. was a Reno, Nevada attorney whose legal career spanned more than five decades. Born in Reno on October 17, 1935, he completed his undergraduate studies at Stanford University and went on to earn his law degree from Stanford Law School, where he graduated Order of the Coif in recognition of his academic distinction.

Upon graduating from Stanford Law, he returned to Reno to practice law alongside his father. He concentrated his practice on business, corporate, and estate planning matters, and over the years helped transform what began as a father-and-son firm into the prominent Nevada law firm of Sanford, Sanford, Fahrenkopf, Mousel and McGee.

Known for his enduring dedication to the profession, he continued to practice law passionately until the time of his death on March 31, 2016. He was admitted to the Nevada bar in 1960 and remained a fixture of the Reno legal community throughout his career.
