William Michael O'Mara

William Michael O'Mara was born on May 8, 1938, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He completed his undergraduate studies at Loyola University in 1960 and went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Hastings College of the Law in 1967. He was admitted to practice in both California and Nevada in 1968, launching a legal career that would center on Reno, Nevada.

Over the course of his career, Mr. O'Mara practiced through a series of Reno law partnerships, including Belford & Anglim, W.M. O'Mara, O'Mara & Kosinski, O'Mara & Jacques, and William M. O'Mara. His practice encompassed bankruptcy law, business and commercial law, and family law, serving clients across northern Nevada for decades.

Alongside his legal work, Mr. O'Mara served his country through the Navy. He attended the Navy Officer Candidate School in Newport, Rhode Island, completed his initial term of active duty, and continued in the Naval Reserve, ultimately earning the rank of Captain. He passed away on July 3, 2022, in Reno, Nevada, at the age of 84.
